Muslims and Jews Swap Identities
On the weekend of November 21-23, the Islamic Center at NYU and the Bronfman Center for Jewish Student Life at NYU will participate in a national project hosted by the Foundation For Ethnic Understanding called "The Weekend of Twinning". Mosques and Synagouges – “twins” – around the country will be paired up in hopes of bringing Muslims and Jews together to help combat islamophobia and anti-semitism. The NY Times recently ran a full page ad on the weekend of Twinning. SEE: "We are the Children of Abraham" advertisement (New York Times, 11/11/08)
