We Must Unite and Work Diligently with President Obama
President Obama is doing his part. Now we must do ours. He can't do it alone and never promised he could. Now let's continue to show our support by working with groups like Organizing for America, join our local civic clubs, become active or more active in our masjid/Islami centers, etc.
The Healthcare debate took a very nasty and angry turn a few weeks ago. We must the fear and ignorance with intelligence and the truth.

Renewable Energy Today!
We must learn how to change our way of thinking when it comes to how we fuel cars, buses and other transportation vehicles. We must lessen our use of foreign oil we sent 19 billion dollars outside the US in February to buy oil. Some of it went to places that mock us horribly as a nation. ,I think what Mr. Samir is doing here is illegal. He is trying to use his "muslim" status to pull at the heartstrings of someone living here. I feel as though if he loves his fiancee so much he should have her come live with him until the situation is resolved.
He is asking for a co-signer, I do not want to question the integrity of Mr. Samir but unless we are very close to the person and know how responsible a person is we should never co-sign for ANYTHING. Mr. Samir can come to the US and maybe not find work and his fiancee not find work, request public assistance and the CO-SIGNER ( this is what he is asking for) would be responsible for paying his bills back to the goverment while he dissapears silently into the crowds.
I do not think that being muslim automatically grants someone a " responsible" status as much as I would want for this to be.
I think Mr.Samir is asking for people to put up their credibility and credit and he has no idea how important that is here in America.
This seems almost like a fishing scam to me??
